As yachting is an elite item as a sport and leisure for travelers, there is ample scope for sponsoring.

Participating events

KYA participates in many events across the country covering almost 1 event every month. Teams could be sponsored where the boats can carry the name of the sponsor and visibility in terms of live TV coverage. Most National events conducted by The Yachting Association of India are covered live in National networks. Press release before the team leaves for the event and when they return are also exposure for the sponsor. T-shirts with the sponsor logo etc would be worn by the team during Press release and the events.


Conducted events

KYA conducts National events allotted by YAI where 50 to 100 participants take part from different parts of the country. This is a bigger opportunity for sponsors where the event title can be reserved for the sponsor. On water equipments like marker buoys and official boats can also carry the title sponsor name and logo. All these are in addition to the press releases, T-shirts and other exposures of the event.

Training events

KYA has training boats and rescue boats that can carry the name of the sponsor during training all round the year in Munambam beech enclave where thousands of tourists visit especially during weekends and holidays.

35th National Games

KYA is scheduled to conduct the 35th National Games allotted to Kerala State. It is for the first time that yachting as an item is included in the National Games. The event now is scheduled for January 2011. The scope for sponsorship is enormous. Live coverage during the event in all national TV channels is of course the best method for any national player for getting the best exposure. Yachts, Pontoons, buoys, official boats, T-shirts, caps, brochures etc can carry sponsors to high peaks.
